1c:T44a,

Aged Care Watch is a tool for aged care workers, residents, and their families to report what's really happening in residential aged care facilities across Australia.

Since its launch, Aged Care Watch has highlighted the impact of deliberate understaffing by providers on residents, nurses, and carers. The {{reportsCount}} submitted reports have helped bring about important changes in aged care, such as mandatory minimum care times, 24/7 Registered Nurse (RN) coverage, and significant wage increases for workers.

However, many aged care providers are still failing to meet the required staffing levels. Instead of hiring more nurses and carers, some private providers are misrepresenting their care minute figures to boost their own profits. This leaves vulnerable elderly Australians with too few staff to deliver the quality care they need.

By regularly reporting on Aged Care Watch, you are helping to hold providers accountable, support the aged care regulator in taking action, and demand the quality care that every elderly Australian deserves.1d:T10fe,

Aged Care Watch has been developed by United Workers Union, the NSW Nurses and Midwives' Association, and the Queensland Nurses and Midwives' Union as part of a national campaign to change aged care. It has been designed to empower aged care workers, residents, and family members to shine a light on the staffing, pay and workload issues impacting the quality of aged care across Australia. By adding a report you are increasing transparency and helping deliver a quality aged care system that treats workers and elderly Australians with the dignity they deserve.
